Most Desirable Celebrity Vacation Getaways

As you try to enjoy your Fourth of July weekend holiday, just remember there’s a celebrity somewhere soaking up the sun in a far more exotic locale than your apartment building complex.

When a star wants to get away for a few days, here are some of the most popular destinations that are celebrity-approved.

Saint-Tropez, France – This French beach haunt became a celebrity staple after iconic bombshell Brigitte Bardot rolled around its sandy shores in And God Created Woman. Now stars make it an event to visit every year to sun bathe on a yacht in between expensive lunches. Some of entertainment’s most fashionable stars like Rihanna, Kate Moss, and Victoria Beckham can’t get enough of the coastal town.

The Hamptons – This zip code is all about affluence. Gaggles of celebs own properties here, a playground for the rich and famous. Jennifer Lopez just bought a cool $10 million house to reside here.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – Not a summer goes by without paparazzi photos of stars in bikinis frolicking in Cabo. It’s just a quick two-hour flight from Los Angeles to one of the most beautiful parts of Mexico, which explains its star following. George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and more can’t get enough of its exclusive beachfront suites, unique to Cabo in that they’re literally right along the beach.

Maui, Hawaii – Celebs love this Hawaiian island because it’s beach-ready and offers seclusion from paparazzi all year round. Some of its more famous residents include Oprah Winfrey, Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, and Steven Tyler. The state has also passed legislation protecting celebs from overreaching paparazzi.

St. Barts, Caribbean – The exclusive Saint Barthélemy, known as St. Barts, in the French West Indies is a celebrity magnet. A-list couples often flock to the posh hideaway season after season like Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.

Necker Island, British Virgin Islands – A 74-acre island owned by none other than Sir Richard Branson is an entirely private owned resort that accommodates up to 28 guests at a time. Let’s just say the royal family are no strangers to its shores.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia – Celebs like Nicole Kidman, Eva Longoria, and Christina Applegate escape to this chic retreat where you can stay in hotel rooms on stilts above the water. Heaven.
