It looks like a storm is dissipating on the horizon. Vanity Fair has been hinting for weeks that they have an eviscerating Gwyneth Paltrow cover story in the works, which naturally, hasn’t gone over well with the star.

After using her celebrity status and A-list connections to ask her close friends to never cooperate with the magazine again in the future, insiders told RadarOnline that they’re easing up on the undisclosed content of the feature.

“Whatever they wind up publishing, it’s going to be soft,” a source said. “Gwyneth’s campaign against the Vanity Fair article has apparently worked and she’s not as worried as she was three weeks ago.”

That said, “the article is still coming out,” added the source, “and she still refuses to participate in it.”

The original exposé, which will now never see the light of day, allegedly contained salacious details involving her friendship with Elle Macpherson’s husband Jeff Soffer, a Florida-based real estate mogul.
