Gwyneth Paltrow Angers PETA With Fur Ad

Gwyneth Paltrow
PETA's been a little quiet lately, since there haven't been any celebrities breaking their "no fur" rule. But Gwyneth Paltrow has finally stepped up to the plate to stir the pot after appearing in an ad campaign for fur.  As we reported previously, Gwyneth is the face of Tod's. In some of the ads, she appears draped in fox fur and wearing fur-lined boots.

PETA director Mark Glover says, "Gwyneth Paltrow should be ashamed. I can only assume that Paltrow either is ignorant of the facts or lacks human decency and compassion. We've written to her many times, and sent her videos showing how animals suffer for fur, but have never received a response.

"Apparently her beauty really is only skin deep. Gwyneth Paltrow won't be the apple of her daughter's eye if she continues to flaunt fur. It's a terrible example to set for a young child."

A+ on the play on words, PETA! What do you think about their most recent statement? On the money, or overboard as usual?

if she's a vegan then she's a hypocrite, but that's her problem. i guess it just shows that with enough money & prestige, any standpoint is mallable.

Her decision. I don't condone the use of fur in fashion but I almost want to wear it to spite PETA. They're a disgusting organization.
