Gwen Stefani To Tone Down Concert

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani was a the topic of discussion in Malaysia for the past week. Gwen will be playing a concert for the first time in the capital city of Kuala Lumpure and conservative students were against the concert because of the singers costumes and behavior on stage.

Students, says, "Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene.

"We want the organizers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene."

It turns out that the show will not be cancelled but out of respect to the country Gwen is going to tone down the costumes and dance moves. There will be no unnecessary baring of skin.

Maxi Communications says in a statement, "Gwen Stefani has confirmed that her concert will not feature any revealing costumes. She will abide by the Malaysian authorities' guidelines to ensure that her show will not be offensive to local sensitivities."

Due to her abiding by the rules, Gwen must be covered from her shoulders to her knees. She also can not jump, shout or throw any objects to the audience.

This is gonna be a tough concert for Gwen, since she is usually showing skin and jumping around and shouting to the crowd to get them pumped up.

I say let's ban Malaysia. WTF! Why would they want her to even come to their freaking country if she can't be herself. Don't sell out G, Don't sell out!

I think it's cool that she's adjusting to accomodate another culture. Go Gwen. Also, Nick you should probably only post comments when you update your view of women so it is in line with the 21st century, instead of the caveman era. Thank you.

I can agree w/the "When in Rome..." approach here. When you're in other countries you better respect their laws just as we HOPE outsiders will respect ours or else (see the Singapore cane kid for what happens if not). But, if this were in our country I'd hope Gwen would have the courage to tell the pressure groups to get a life and do what she wants in her performances.
