Gwen Renée Stefani was born on October 3, 1969, in Fullerton, California to Dennis and Patti whom got the name Gwen from a character in the novel Airport. Gwen's love for musicals such as The Sound of Music at an early age was an obvious sign for her father who immediately enrolled her in singing lessons.
After graduating from high school in 1987, and attending California State University (Fullerton), Gwen was recruited to lend her vocals to the ska band No Doubt. The band went on to get signed by Interscope Records the following year with Gwen quickly becoming well known in the music scene as the front woman of the on-the-rise band.
From that point on, the band reached international stardom and later gave Gwen the opportunity to release her debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. in 2004. Featuring the hit singles "What You Waiting For?" and "Hollaback Girl," the album went on to earn Gwen six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
In 2006, Gwen released her second solo album The Sweet Escape, which reached number three on the Billboard 200 chart.
Besides music, Gwen married fellow musican Gavin Rossdale in 2002 with whom she welcomed their first son Kingston in 2006. She is also a well known name in the fashion industry following the launch of her L.A.M.B. fashion collection in 2003.
Following the release of her solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby (2004), Stefani reunited with her band and immediately started working on their first album together since over 11 years, called Push and Shove (2012). Released on September 21, 2012, the contemporary ska-punk album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 115,000 copies in its first week.

1988 - 1993
Gwen started dating her bandmate Tony Kanal prior to forming No Doubt. After many failed attempts by Gwen, Tony finally gave in and the two began secretly dating. Although the romance came to an end in 1993, their time together helped produced the majority of hit singles off their debut album Tragic Kingdom.
1996 - Present
Gwen and Gavin Rossdale first locked eyes when No Doubt, Bush and the Goo Goo Dolls went on tour together in December 1995. They started dating the following year before tying the knot on September 14, 2002 in London and again in Los Angeles two weeks later.
The two went on to welcome thier son Kingston James McGregor on May 26, 2006 via Caesarean section and later their second son Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale on August 21, 2008.
