Katherine Heigl was reportedly a nightmare to work with during her last days on Grey's Anatomy, but she thinks she deserves an award for it.

Katherine has submitted herself for Best Supporting Actress category for this year’s Emmy race, even though she was barely on half the season, reports EW.

Katherine Heigl is Ready for Baby #2

Katherine filed her last episode of Grey's back in January, and was supposed to return in March, but she never showed up. Some work ethic.

She of course denied the rumors saying “rumors that I refused to return were totally untrue.”

Her former Grey's castmasts Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey also submitted themselves for an Emmy, but for best Actor and Actress.

The nominations will be announced on July 8th. Do you think she deserves an Emmy for the handful of episodes she was actually in? Tell us your thoughts!

In this recession, people are holding onto to their jobs—even ones they hate. But actors are lucky enough to still have plenty of money in their bank accounts, and are willing to walk away from massive paychecks.

Ellen Pompeo is the latest actress rumored to be throwing in the towel. Grey's Anatomy has already said goodbye to four of their main cast members—Katherine Heigl, Kate Walsh, T.R. Knight, and Isaiah Washington—three of whom wanted to leave!

And now rumor has it Ellen is over the hit drama, and is planning her exit. But, typical Hollywood, she’s sugar coating it…for now. “I haven’t said I’m moving on,” she tells Extra. “I said that when my contract is up after season 8 [in two years], I would probably not renew. I think the world has had a lot of Meredith Grey.”

Yeah the show is only all about her character!! We find it funny that actors are so quick to leave television shows these days that made them household names. Look at the casts of Seinfeld and Friends. Those shows were on for years, and no one would dare leave!

It seems TV actors are always looking towards film nowadays. And it’s a trickle down effect—reality stars have begun thinking their above their own shows, and most (Snooki, Heidi Montag we mean you) think they’re actually talented enough for film.
Demi Lovato is headed to mainstream television! The young actress/singer has reportedly landed a role on Grey's Anatomy.

Demi tweeted the big news today, saying “I’m so thrilled to announce that this week I’m shooting Grey’s Anatomy!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!”

Show creator Shonda Rimes also wrote a tweet about the casting news. “Demi Lovato’s on the Grey’s set filming her guest spot. Everyone’s super excited around here,” she said.

Demi will play a patient who is being treated for possible schizophrenia at Seattle Grace hospital by Karev (Justin Chambers) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) in an episode set to air in May.

And apparently Lovato has always wanted to appear on the show. She wrote yesterday, “Getting up early tomorrow morning to begin a week of fulfilling one of my biggest dreams.”

Things seem to be going great for Demi, who walked the orange carpet with her boyfriend Joe Jonas on Saturday for the Kids’ Choice Awards. She told reporters, "It's amazing! It's a great feeling! When you're in love, you want the world to know.”

Congrats to Demi on her success!
Katherine Heigl is officially done with Grey's Anatomy! Finally, we can stop talking about it! It seems like she’s been wanting off of the show for two years now, but finally made a clean break.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Heigl explains her departure from the show. “I am done,” she says. “We just finalized our agreement. Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It’s sad but it’s what I wanted.”

Word on the street was that Heigl wanted to do strictly film roles, but according to her, that’s not the reason for leaving the show. “I started a family and it changed everything for me,” says Heigl, “It changed my desire to work full-time.”

As for the die-hard Grey’s fans, Katherine says, “I know I’m disappointing the fans. I just had to make a choice. I hope I made the right one.”

ABC has also released a statement saying, “By mutual agreement, Katherine Heigl has ended her successful run as Dr. Isobel Stevens. The studio wishes her well. Everyone at Grey’s Anatomy is now focused on delivering a shocking season finale and a great show for seasons to come.”

Everyone is leaving that show! It seems like no one is left! We’re just glad she finally made a decision and can stop complaining about it!
Katherine Heigl may finally be getting what we know she’s been wanting for a long time. New reports suggest that she’s leaving Grey's Anatomy next season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, show creator Shonda Rimes has agreed to let Katherine out of her contract with the show she’s been on for six years.

Apparently Heigl was scheduled to return to work on March 1st to shoot the five remaining episodes left in the season. But now we’ve learned that she never showed up! A source close to Heigl says she “was at home and ready to return to work.” Another insider “insists it’s much more complicated than that.”

Heigl and ABC have reportedly been at odds for months, and last week both sides mutually decided that the best solution would be to part ways now as opposed to at the end of the season.

So in short, that means we may never get to officially say goodbye to Dr. Izzie, because she may have already shot her last episode! But again, this has been a long time coming. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors of Heigl complaining about being on Grey’s.

Now she’s free to strictly do movies, which she’s obviously been wanting to do for years. Do you think she’ll be as successful as she has been doing both TV and movies?
It's been six years since the hit TV show wrapped up, but Friends is still the most watched TV show of the decade.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show's 2004 finale is the highest-rated broadcast in America since 2000. 52.5 million viewers tuned in to watch Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross say goodbye.

The series, which launched the careers of Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, ran for a decade between 1994 and 2004.

Friends took the cake but Survivor came in at a close second with 51.7 million viewers. Believe it or not Joe Millionaire was third with its 2003 show getting an audience of 40 million.

E.R., American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, Frasier and Spin City also made the top ten list. What was your favorite Friends episode?
After all of the speculation over whether or not Katherine Heigl was even returning to Grey's Anatomy this season, now she’s taking off! Heigl is reportedly taking a break from the show to shoot a new movie.

ABC reps confirmed the story, originally reported by EW, saying she’ll take a five-episode hiatus to shoot the romatic comedy Life As We Know It.

A source tells Us Weekly that Katherine has already shot six episodes of Grey’s, and will appear on the show through November. The insider says, “The exact schedule is still in the works. These plans have been in the works for a while. The producers, as they always have, do their best to accommodate people's schedules, including Katherine's movie schedule, a film schedule for Patrick, and Ellen's maternity leave. Ellen will have as much time as she needs and wants as a new mom, and the chances of her leave overlapping with Katherine's is highly likely."

The source continues, "This is how Grey's works: It's a true ensemble. The show will be firing on all cylinders while at the same time accommodating the actors' needs."

Grey’s sounds like the best show to work on! You can bad mouth the crew, complain about long hours, take off to shoot a movie, and still keep your job!!
Listen up, Grey's Anatomy fans! The show is coming back in less than a month!

Season 6 premieres on September 24th, and will hopefully answer all the questions left behind with the dramatic season 5 finale.

As Hollyscoop previously reported, T.R. Knight is not returning to the show for the next season. But Katherine Heigl, who had flatlined, is still part of the cast. We can’t wait to see what happens with her character!

In the season 5 finale, Heigl's character, Izzie who had suffered a brain tumor earlier in the season, underwent surgery that threatened to take away her memory.

All the other regular players are back this season. Check out the promo below.
