Good news, Gleeks! Darren Criss is here to stay—that is if his character doesn’t get hit by a bus!
I talked to Darren at the LA premiere of “Next to Normal,” and he gave me the full scoop on his future with Glee, as well as the live tour.
Criss told me EXCLUSIVELY that he’s going to continue on the show as Blaine, for the time being anyway. “I trust the writers,” he told me.
“I think it’s in their ball park…I'd like to stay around. I'm certainly bias towards my character. I think there is a lot of potential there.”
“We'll see what happens even if Blaine gets hit by a bus.
I'm still thankful for the time that I've been given.”
As for the Glee live tour that hits cities in Europe this year, count Criss in! “Absolutely,” he said of joining the cast overseas. “I'm really excited about it. I guess it all really contingent on my hypothetical theory of him getting hit by a bus, As of now I think I'm going. Lets hope I don't get hit.”
And for those of you who just can’t get enough of Darren, he has another non-Gleek album out on iTunes called Human.
“I have my own album out,” Criss told me. “It came out way before Glee. It’s called Human--you can buy it on iTunes.
“I made my way as a musician and compose--that is basically what I did before Glee and it’s what I continue to do.”
Take my advice—download some of Darren’s music from Human—it’s fantastic! Check out my EXCLUSIVE coverage with him below!
