Hollyscoop talked to Giuliana at the 18th Annual Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, and she told us that while she stays strong, there are moments where her battle with breast cancer hits home.
“Last night…I was driving the car, and I was about to get choked up,” Giuliana told Hollyscoop. “It's so easy t be driving down the street and all of a sudden get choked up and want to cry.” But she says the most important thing for those battling with the disease is to remain positive.
“I was like no, no, no, I have an amazing husband, my job is to go interview celebrities…life is good. Even though I’m going through something really hard, it doesn’t take away from all the great things.”
Rancic told Hollyscoop: “Attitude is everything. That’s the most important thing in the world…I think focus on the positive, that’s the most important thing.”
Giuliana says her decision to return to work was also helpful for her. Rancic said actor John Krasinski asked her, “Shouldn’t you be at home resting?”
“And I said no…work is such a great distraction…it just makes everything fly by…so it makes me not think about stuff,” she told us.
And she appears to be recovering nicely.
“I’m doing really well,” Giuliana told Hollyscoop.
