Exciting news in the Rancic house today…
Bill and Giuliana have brought their son Edward Duke home to Chicago for the first time. The news comes just six days after the baby’s arrival via gestational surrogate in Denver, Colorado on August 29.
Giuliana’s Twitter followers were among the first alerted to the update.
A fan tweeted at the E! host, saying that they spotted her husband at a Chicago popcorn shop. Giuliana retweeted the message, responding that he was bringing some home for them to share.
People magazine reports that the couple is recovering well from all the excitement and are thrilled with their newest family member.
"They are so happy right now. It's beautiful to see," a source said. "They love that little guy so much. He's so sweet."
The report echoes Giuliana’s public statement released via E! news at the time of Edward’s birth.
“Bill and I are blessed beyond words to welcome Edward into our lives,” Giuliana said in a statement, “Thank you so much to everyone who supported us along the way. We are so in love with the little guy already!”
Edward was born, weighing in at 7lbs, 4 ounces.
As Hollyscoop previously reported, the gestational carrier was in labor for four hours. Despite, Giuliana’s worries about not making it to the big day due to her obligations covering the Olympics, the couple was in Denver for the birth. Bill cut the umbilical cord and Giuliana was the first to hold the baby.
After all the stress, worry, and first time jitters, there’s no doubt a little down time at home comes as a breath of fresh air. And Bill agrees…
