Gisele Bundchen just opened up to
Vanity Fair magazine to talk about her newlywed status, and about being a step mom to
Tom Brady ’s son John Edward. And if we were
Bridget Moynahan, we would not be happy with the interview!
Bridget announced she was pregnant just a couple of months after Tom and Gisele started dating. Gisele recalls those early days of their relationship, saying, "In the beginning you're living this romantic fantasy; you're thinking, 'This can't be true, it's so good! And then, Whoops—wake-up call!’”
Gisele and Bridget have never met each other, but that hasn’t stopped Gisele from meeting little John. She’s been photographed with him several times, and feels like he’s her own!
She tells Vanity Fair, "I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it's not like because somebody else delivered him, that's not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent.
"I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that's important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine."
She sure is feeling the motherly instincts already! Maybe it’s time for Gisele to have a child of her own with Tom! She also talked about standing by Tom when they first found out about Bridget’s pregnancy.
"I was like, you have the heart in a good place! It made me feel more in love with him; it made me realize who he was."
It seems like everything has worked out for the best for Tom and Gisele. The two are planning on
celebrating their marriage again again this Friday with friends and family in Costa Rica. And speaking of family, Gisele says, “Tom is very close to his family. He's Catholic. His parents have been married 40 years. He's got a pure heart. That's all that matters – he's got the purest heart."
