G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra did so well at the box office opening weekend a sequel to the summer blockbuster has already been confirmed!
Paramount Pictures vice chairman Rob Moore confirmed that a sequel will happen, but the first film's director Stephen Sommers is not under agreement so they're not sure if he'll return to work on part II.
GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra has already made over $100 million worldwide since its release last Friday with $56 million just in the US alone in the first three days.
When Hollyscoop caught up with the producers of the movie at the Los Angeles premiere they said they were "hopeful" for a sequel but were waiting to see what kind of numbers they brought in opening weekend.
