The mess that is
George Michael was arrested after he got into a car accident near London early Friday.
The police took him in for questioning after his Range Rover collided with the heavy goods vehicle in Berkshire, England.
They initially believed that Michael might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol but he was released without any charges after the questioning.
Michael did confirm that he was involved in a car accident but said that
he was "stone cold sober" and he did not want his fans or family "worried by what they are reading," according to the Associated Press
The cops probably assumed he was drunk because Michael has a history of drinking and driving. He was banned from driving back in 2007 after he pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of drugs. Michael just recently got his license back.
