George Lopez Premieres With Good Ratings

George Lopez is officially a part of the late night talk show host gang. His show, Lopez Tonight, premiered last night on TBS, TNT, and TruTV, did really well!

According to Variety, Lopez drew in 3.1 million viewers, and 1 million of them were in the 18-49 demographic. The premiere welcomed guests Ellen DeGeneres, Eva Longoria-Parker, Kobe Bryant and Carlos Santana, and beat The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in the ratings.

The timeslot was previously filled with syndicated sitcoms, and after last night, TBS saw a 70% improvement with Lopez Tonight.
