The eternal bachelor, George Clooney may have broke up with longtime girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis because she was annoying.
A source close to the star tells Us magazine that there were signs of trouble for the pair when they vacationed in Mexico during New Years.
“She drove him nuts…[there was] non-stop bickering over little things. He would only hang out with his friends, and more or less left her to herself and her friends.”
I guess Clooney puts bros before hoes because apparently Canalis was “unsure of herself” around Clooney’s famous friends and was really shy. A friend of Clooney’s claims, “She was always shy. She didn’t speak great English. To tell you the truth, I don’t think George’s Italian was great either!”
Another source tells E!, “He’s been trying to figure out how to get out of this for a while.” Apparently Clooney is about to spend his summer at his Lake Como estate in Italy with his buddies and wanted to be single for the summer. What? This isn’t a fraternity sponsored road trip to Lake Havasu. A 50-year-old man has no place trolling the Italian lakeside for some summer lovin’.
The source goes on, “Remember that Sarah Larson [that] George was dating? Same thing happened. Right before Como, they broke up.”
Clooney had been purposefully putting distance between himself and Canalis for months with work. His excuse was that “[He] was knee-deep in pre-production on a couple projects.”
Canalis told Italian magazine, Chi, only weeks ago that she could see herself getting married one day. Well, I guess she’s going to get her wish, just not with Clooney.
