George Clooney to Be Honored at Emmys

George Clooney isn't just one of the sexiest men on the planet, he's a do-gooder too! He's done so much for various charities, he's set to be honored at the upcoming Emmy awards.

George is set to receive the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' fourth Bob Hope Humanitarian Award during Sunday's 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

"George was an obvious choice for this honor," said John Shaffner, chairman and CEO of the Television Academy.

"He has understood and harnessed the power of television, the most powerful medium of our time, to reach into the hearts of people around the world and compelled us to action on behalf of those in sudden and desperate need, as well as those tragically oppressed in Darfur."

George was the clear choice this year for his work in Darfur, his co-founding of the Not On Our Watch groups to raise awareness of mass atrocities; and his work to raise funds for victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina; and most recently, his organization of the Hope for Haiti Now telethon to benefit victims of the Haitian earthquake.

Aww Georgey, so adorable, so charitable. He's the perfect man! Elisabetta is a lucky woman!
