George Clooney on Brad Pitt's Nominations: 'I Think He's Going to Win'

George Clooney and Brad Pitt are both dominating awards season this year, with numerous nominations for The Descendants and Moneyball, respectively.

Clooney talked to Hollyscoop at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and told us he’s definitely rooting for his bestie, Brad, to win.

“He’s a good friend, and I love everything he does,” Clooney told Hollyscoop. “I think he’s going to win it, I think he’ll win a bunch of [awards].”

Pitt and Clooney are up against each other at the Golden Globes and SAG awards this year. There’s also been buzz that the two may go head-to-head at the Oscars.

“He does have a cast on his foot,” Clooney jokes. “So I’m interesting in finding out how he did that.”

It’s easy to see that while Clooney remains grateful for his nominations, he’s happy-go-lucky about all of it. The actor tells us how he mentally prepares for awards season:

“I talk about myself in the third person, mostly,” Clooney joked with HS. “George likes this.”

Clooney received the Chairman’s Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival this year for his work in both The Descendants and the Ides of March. His performance in both has fans and critics alike suspecting that he'll be nominated for an Academy Award.

“I’m having a fun time right now,” George told us.

Clooney showed up to the Palm Springs Film Festival with his latest gal, Stacy Keibler, on his arm. Both looked stunning, of course, and George isn't shy about taking credit for that:

“I pick all her outfits,” Clooney told Hollyscoop. “Can’t you tell by the way I dress?
