George Clooney and Sandra Bullock suited up for the premiere of their space thriller Gravity this week where George's charm was out of this world. The Oscar winner chatted with Hollyscoop exclusively about his close relationship with his co-star and fellow Oscar winner.
“Not good! I’m going to tell you right now, not good,” George joked about Sandra at the New York premiere of Gravity. “She drinks a little too much, as you know, you've seen it, and she falls down a lot when she is.”
If his good-humored response wasn’t telling enough of their close friendship, George shared their affinity for one another, saying they just spent some recent off-screen time together at his Italian vacation home on Lake Como.
“You know, I will say we’ve been friends for well over 20 years and I love working with her,” he said. “I never worked with her before so it was really fun for me. I’ve known her forever, but never worked with her.”
There’s no doubt that these two stars work well together—the reviews for Gravity have been overwhelmingly rave-worthy and Oscar buzz is already circulating for both actors, especially Sandra—but their chemistry is also what keeps them from becoming romantically entangled.
Sandra said in a recent interview that she and George would never date because they’re too similar, which he agrees with. “She has better legs than me,” George quipped, “but we have a lot in common. She’s actually funnier than anyone, she kills me. She’s a funny, funny girl.”
