Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has been named a United Nations Messenger of Peace for his humanitarian work. Clooney has been a longtime campaigner for refugees in Darfur.
U.N. spokesman Michele Montas says, "(Clooney is being) recognized for focusing public attention on crucial international political and social issues."
Clooney's on a role! Just last month he was honored at the World Summit Of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome. Sexy and compassionate? It doesn't get better than that!
