George Clooney Donates $1 Million to Haiti

George Clooney isn't just hosting a telethon to raise money for Haiti this Friday, he's donating a ton of money too!

Clooney tells ET, "I've been up for three days straight trying to put it together. Most fundraisers get put together in a year and we're putting this together in eight days. It's first getting networks together, getting phone lines, phone banks, charitable organizations together, and finding the way to get the money to them. It's a long process of making deals and trying to get things done."

There are some big names attached to the telethon too! Rob Pattinson, Beyonce and Brad Pitt have all agreed to join George this Friday at the telethon.

Clooney will be hosting the event from LA, with Wyclef Jean in New York City, and Anderson Cooper in Haiti. The event airs January 22nd at 8PM eastern on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT.

The show will benefit Jean's Yele Haiti Foundation, as well as UNICEF, Oxfam America, Partners in Health, and the Red Cross, so make sure to tune in and donate!
