George Clooney Contemplated Suicide 6 Years Ago

No, this isn’t one of his practical jokes. George Clooney says that during 2005 while filming the spy thriller “Syriana” he seriously injured himself. In one scene for the movie he was taped to a chair while being beaten up. At one point the chair was kicked over and he hit his head.

“I tore my dura,” admitted Clooney, “which is the wrap around my spine which holds in spinal fluid.” The pain from the injury was so bad that he though about ending his life.

“I was in a hospital bed unable to move, having these headaches where it feels like you’re having a stroke,” admits Clooney.

He tells Rolling Stone, “I started to think, ‘I may have to do something drastic about this.” Sadly, so drastic he wanted to take his own life.

“You don’t want to leave a mess, so go in the garage, go in the car, start the engine. I was in a place where I was trying to figure out how to survive,” he reveals.

Back in 2005 he also made this same confession, “it was the most unbearable pain I’ve ever been through, literally where you’d go, ‘well, you’ll have to kill yourself at some point, you can’t live like this.’”

Thankfully, it appears as if Clooney is pain free as he waltzes down red carpets flashing that signature smile. I don’t know what it is about Rolling Stone interviews, but they also get the most confessions out of people. This is also the same article where Clooney opened up about his sex life.

He admitted loosing his virginity at age 16, which he though was “too young.”

“I was young, very young, too young.”

But if he thought 16 was young, he says he had his first orgasm at age six, in a situation with a rope.

“I believe it [my first orgasm] was while climbing a rope when I was six or seven years old. I remember getting to the top of the rope, hanging off the rope, and going “Oh, my god, this feels great!’” He then handed the rope a post-sex cigarette and asked it, “was is as good for you as it was for me?”

In the same interview he admitted that when his movies don’t do well financially, he doesn’t care.

“I don’t need to be more famous,” admits Clooney.

While that may be true, the other non-famouses who worked on the film, kind of need their movie to make money.

He also adds that his new movie “The Ides of March” is not supposed to be a blockbuster. “It’s not designed for everybody to see, but I don’t [care]. The film cost about $12 million, so anything we do is nice.”
