Wow talk about a star studded affair! George Clooney Haiti telephone charity raised over $57 million dollars dollars!

Jack Nicholson, Ben Affleck, Mel Gibson, Alicia Keys, Madonna, Beyonce, Bono and Christina Aguilera were amongst the stars who performed live on Friday night at the MTV telephone, hosted by Clooney.

The $57 million dollars set a record for telethons according to the Entertainment Industry Foundation.

Leonardo DiCaprio is the latest celebrity to reach deep into his pockets in order to help the people of Haiti. Leo has donated $1 million to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (CBHF), to support near-term assistance and long-term recovery efforts.
