George Clooney was born on May 6, 1961 in Lexington, KY. One of his earliest acting stints came on the television series The Facts of Life. Clooney also had a recurring role on the hit sitcom Roseanne. George rose to stardom as Dr. Doug Ross on the award-winning series ER. Clooney was a staple on the show from 1994-1999.
During this time, Clooney's film career caught fire. He took on a variety of themes in movies like From Dusk Till Dawn, Out of Sight and Batman and Robin. In recent years, Clooney has made several successful films including Ocean's Eleven, The Perfect Storm and Syriana. George won the Oscar for best supporting actor for Syriana.
In 2002, George made his directorial debut with Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. He followed with the Academy Award nominated Good Night, and Good Luck. Clooney was nominated for Best Actor after his performance in Michael Clayton this past Oscars.
Clooney has long been a notorious bachelor.
