Anti-Marriage Advocate, Gene Simmons, Proposes to Girlfriend

Gene Simmons banged over 2,000 women after becoming the world-famous bassist of KISS. For anyone born after 1980, yes, that’s the band that looks like Insane Clown Posse. For anyone born after 1990…screw you.

Anyway, Simmons somehow avoided dying from Syphilis, and at 61, has proposed to his longtime girlfriend and ex-Playboy model, Shannon Tweed. On his reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, he says to Tweed: “I come with so much baggage, but you’re the only friend I’ve got, you’re the only one I’ve ever loved, you’re the only one I love, and the only one I ever will love. I’ve never said those words to anybody, and I don’t ever wanna.”

Simmons continues: “It's funny, they used to watch movies where they say I can't live without you but for me it's true."

Gene then gets down on one knee and says, "will you marry me," and of course Tweed then starts crying. Either that, or her Botox injections are leaking.

In 2007, Simmons expressed his feelings against marriage, saying:

"I don't believe man is designed to be married. Marriage means nothing to me. Happiness means everything. All I see in marriage is a lot of desperately unhappy people. The problem with marriage is somebody else has a right to say how you lead your life. Not even your mother has that right, and she gave you life itself. Why would you ever give anybody else that right?"

Probably because A&E offered you a crapload of money.
