Todd Bridges, who has had a share of his own personal problems spoke out on the passing of his good friend and former co-star, Gary Coleman.
Bridges spoke to the Associated Press about the death of his Diff'rent Strokes costar Gary Coleman.
"It's unfortunate. It's a sad day...It's sad that I'm the last kid alive from the show."
Bridges battled a cocaine addiction for years. He was also arrested in 1998 and tried for the attempted murder of his drug dealer, whom he’d shot while high. The charges were later dropped.
Since the conclusion of Diff’rent Strokes, Bridges has tried to retain some relevancy in the industry, appearing on reality shows like The Surreal Life, a show Coleman was also on. Most recently he wrote a book called Killing Willis, about his drug addiction, criminal charges, and efforts to establish a public identity independent of the character he played on the show.
Bridges, who is now clean and sober also Tweeted about Coleman's death saying, "don't know what to really think today will have to really pray about this one."
Coleman died on Friday after suffering from a brain hemorrhage.
