Gary Coleman’s parents Willie and Sue Coleman broke their silence this morning on the Today show to give their side of the story.
They were suddenly thrown into the spotlight after Gary died, and they seem to be battling their son’s wife Shannon Price. Despite what she says about them, Willie and Sue told Meredith Viera this morning that they just want the lies about them to stop, and for Gary to be at peace.
They tearfully said they have no intention of fighting against Price for Gary’s will, because it will just cause unnecessary drama. They also said they just wish for peace with Gary and want him to remembered "As a loving, kind, gentle human being.”
As for Shannon Price and the disturbing photos she sold to the Globe, Sue said, "That was disturbing. I don't know if that was her intention in the beginning when she was taking those pictures.”
"I basically want to say that I want all the talk to stop," Sue continued. "Gary's gone. I want his body put away, respectfully, so that we all can bring some closure to this part of him. I think with all the talk that's been going around, people going on talk shows saying this, saying that, some true, some not true…enough. Let's just put him away so his spirit can go on to where he's going."
Watch the emotional video below. We’re happy Gary’s parents did the interview to stand up for themselves! It’s obvious they’re just regular people who are suffering through a tragic loss and want nothing but peace for their son.
