There are a lot of questions surrounding Gary Coleman’s death last week. And now new information has come out that he fell at his home in Utah the day prior to his death.
Gary’s friend Jeremy Spence tells Us Magazine that Gary drove himself to the hospital on Wednesday morning to undergo dialysis to treat his congenital kidney disease he’s had his whole life. According to the friend, Coleman returned home and slipped and fell.
He reportedly gashed his head, and Gary’s wife Shannon Price called an ambulance. "Dialysis had taken a lot out of him that day,” Spence said. "He just wanted to go home, but he was pretty weak. He had no strength at all."
The fall is what ultimately caused him to go into a coma. It caused intracranial bleeding, and Gary was on life support by the next day, and died on Friday.
It’s so sad that the fall was most likely what led to his death. A funeral has been scheduled for the end of this week in Utah. It’s not yet known if it will be a private family affair, or if it will be open to the public.
“The funeral will take place towards the end of the week either Friday or Saturday in Salt Lake City,” Coleman’s lawyer Randy Kester told RadarOnline. “It will be at a funeral home and the family is still deciding if it will be a private event or it will be open to his fans too.”
Price also commented saying, "Thousands of emails have poured in to the hospital. This has been so comforting to the family to know how beloved he still is.”
Our thoughts are with the family at this time.
