G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra has blasted the competition at the U.S. box office, bringing in $56.2 million dollars opening weekend. The action blockbuster, which stars Channing Tatum and Sienna Miller, stomped out the competition and commanded the lead over other movies like Julie & Julia and G-Force.

Judd Apatow has done it again! Apatow's latest movie 'Funny People' was so funny, it made its way up to the number one spot in the box office in it's first week. The movie brought in over $23 million dollars opening weekend.

Harry Potter fans just can't get enough of the latest Potter flick because the Half-Blood Prince brought in another $17 million dollars this weekend. Rounding out the top three was the animated movie G-Force, which also brought in $17 million dollars. Here is the top ten movies from the July 31-August 2nd weekend:
