It’s not every day that you hear about a cheating scandal helping a couple’s relationship.

In an upcoming episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter” Black Eyed Peas member Fergie is gets down to bare bones about her life. Along with the exposed topics is the subject of her husband Josh Duhamel’s alleged cheating scandal.

Oprah Winfrey, being the television monarch that she is, felt confident bringing up the rumors that Duhamel was cheating with a stripper just nine months into their marriage.

"It was difficult,” Fergie starts, unable to say “no” to Oprah’s mind powers.

"We're stronger today definitely because of anything difficult that's happened with us," she says. "We deal with it, we communicate; communicating's the most important thing."

She adds, "When you go through difficult times, it really makes you stronger as a unit, as a partnership. It does for us, anyways. Our love today is a deeper love, definitely."

Because everyone knows that pocketed rage is the key ingredient to a happy marriage…

Oprah later brings Duhamel out for a spell in the hot seat. Once on camera, though, charm practically oozes out of the stud’s eyeballs as he gushes over his bride.

“Obviously I love to watch her perform and I love all the music, and I was attracted to her initially because of...how sexy she was and the hotness," he says

Neither party addresses whether the rumors are in fact true in the promotional clip, but they do mention that their faith is what kept them together for their now nine year relationship.

“We've both had to work for what we got. We're both Catholic,” says Duhamel. “There were a lot of things that were really compatible between us. But at the end of the day, she's just an amazing girl."

As Hollyscoop previously reported, a trailer for Fergie’s appearance has already been released, promising not only to delve into the singer’s relationship woes, but also her experience with drugs and bisexual past.

Fegie’s interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” airs October 21 at 9/8 c on the OWN network.
