Yes, Josh Duhamel went there.
During an appearance on “Chelsea Lately,” the studly actor got down to the nitty-gritty of what he expects to see and not see in the birthing room. According to him, his wife, Fergie, has some very specific requests about his placement.
“Uhh, I will be there,” he said. “She says that I can't be anywhere below right here [the face]. Because, you know, some women get nervous about that.”
Basically, Fergie doesn’t want her hubby to see her vagina, for fear the crevice’s—ahem—condition would scare him away for good. And leave it to Chelsea Handler to draw out the dirty details.
What Josh actually said was that Fergie felt he would “never recover” from seeing the birth up close and personal.
For him, “it’s a beautiful thing” and “why not” see it?
Despite the fact that he won’t be able to see everything, he is “over the moon” when it comes to becoming a dad. While he previously admitted to eating more ice cream than usual, Josh might be changing in more significant ways now, too.
“All my friends have told me about it, they've said, ‘You know, it's the most amazing thing you've ever been through; wait until you hold the baby for the first time,’” he said. “And then you actually look at her and you see that there's an actual baby inside of there. It's unbelievable.”
