The ladies played their final poker game last night.

A highly anticipated and highly secretive two-hour season finale of Desperate Housewives wrapped the series up in a bow last night. The finale offered a glimpse into the women’s future a la flash forward.

For Teri Hatcher, it's hard to believe that after eight years on Wisteria Lane, May 13 will be the series finale for “Desperate Housewives.”

“Every day it gets to be a little more real," says Hatcher. The show was so popular that even former First Lady Laura Bush once jokingly announced, ”Ladies and gentlemen, I am a desperate housewife.”

What is the cast of Desperate Housewives going to do now? There’s always the fear that after 8 years on a show, the cast will have a hard time finding other acting jobs.

There’s this thing called type casting where if Eva Longoria goes to an audition, the casting director might say “Ahhh, you look like you could play a suburban housewife and seduce a much younger gardener, but you definitely cannot play any other part. NEXT!”

That’s what the cast is afraid of happening to them once their show ends. Remember Ross from “Friends?” Exactly.
