Elsie Katz Brings Glamour For Spring

October 19, 2006

L.A. Fashion Week continues and we were front and center for our first show of the night Elsie Katz. At the show we spotted Stacy Keibler, Melinda Clarke, Kelly Hu and Arielle Kebbel. The Elsie Kaz Spring 07 Collection made us forget for a second that we were in Los Angeles and we truly thought we were in Paris.

As most of the collection featured the classic feminine glamour which is often seen in St. Tropez, nevertheless the collection featured clothing for all sorts of woman from all walks of life. From the silhouettes incorporated empire waists, hand tucked bodices, finger pleated trims, bustled trains, tailored parsons coats and to the fitted knickers. There was a sense of story telling from the Bennett sisters from “Pride & Prejudice”.

The trend that we feel like will be set by Elsie Katz will be light and textural linens, lace and brocades, ruffles, pleads and gloves. There is no doubt that we’ll continue to see bare back gowns through the rest of the shows this week, for they’ve been a recurring trend all week long. It’s definitely going to be a bare back season for Spring with very minimal skin showing from the front. Overall, the collection features beautiful vintage classics which define femininity to the maximum.
