Last night
John Galliano put on one of the most extravagant fashion shows in recent history. Galliano took over the Versailles Palace to mark the 60th anniversary of
Christian Dior, and what a celebration it was!
For his show, Galliano made sure to bring in some of the world’s best supermodels. Everyone from Linda, Naomi, Amber, and Shalom to Gisele; the supermodels that don’t need last names strutted their stuff down the catwalk. One supermodel that was notably absent was
Kate Moss. She had flown to Paris for the show and was originally scheduled to walk the catwalk, but we’re assuming reports of her fiancé’s
alleged infidelity may have been the reason she was a no show.
For his collection Galliano was said to be inspired by Impressionist, modern painters, and photographers. He drew romance and delicacy, rather than his more familiar roaring theatrics.
The Dior show drew in an A-list crowd which included Kate Hudson, Monica Bellucci, Jessica Alba , Dita Von Teese and Charlize Theron.
