Paris Fashion week is well underway and all the designers are unveiling their Spring '08 collection but we have one question in mind after seeing some of the collections, what were they thinking?
Jean Paul Gaultier
Designer Jean Paul Gaultier definitely overdosed on “Pirates of the Caribbean” since his Spring collection looks like Johnny Depp’s wardrobe for his character as Captain Jack Sparrow. Camouflage, trenches, balloon pants, skullcaps and pipes. We can definitely see style icon Jennifer Lopez sporting this must have look.
Balenciaga
Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière said he wanted to explore new territories with his spring collection. Lets just say homeboy discovered space with his embroidered "robot" leggings to the accented shoulder pads. He must have been watching "The Jetson’s" when he designed this collection.
Christian Lacroix
Designer Christian Lacroix went wild with the color palette and forgot that he's not painting a canvas but clothing. His new collection looks like a Picasso painting. Sometimes it’s better to keep it simple, basically drop the avant-garde hats.
Viktor & Rolf
Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren were in the mood for music when creating their masterpiece. Where should we begin, the pink drapes used for a coat or the violins used as chokers? We hope this violin accessory doesn’t make its way on the red carpet.
