Paris Fashion Week is officially here and it looks like the hottest ticket in town was for the Christian Dior show. With the Olsen twins, Dita Von Teese, Lenny Kravitz, Emmy Rossum and Monica Bellucci taking front row seats, it was an a star studded event. Designer John Galliano brought in soft, asymmetric necklined dresses, sprinkled with silver or gold embroidery along with short to gown-length options in earth tones.
Meanwhile in Milan, Roberto Cavalli took another direction from all the shows he has done in the past by bringing in the flamenco look mixed with his provocative glam. No Cavalli show is complete without animal prints. One of Cavalli’s masterpieces was a zebra stripes chiffon gown with dramatically trailing sleeves. This piece stood out from more predictable evening fare, such as halter gowns with open backs and a provocatively sheer rhinestone-encrusted dress. Among the celebs in the audience was Nicky Hilton.
