Life and Death '07

We got the opportunity to check out one of the hottest shows in Los Angeles last night. Not only did we get to see the show but we got to go backstage to meet the designers and see the all the ruckus that occurs prior to the show. Only minutes before it began, we caught up with the designers of Life and Death , Phillippe Naouri and Alexandre Caugant.

The two sexy men revealed to us exclusively that the trend for their line is going to be Kimonos, leggings, and a lot of darkness. Even though the collection was for the spring line, expect to see a lot of black, grey, red, blue and ivory. When we asked them what their inspirations were for this season, the designers revealed London's Urban style mixed with Tokyo's Underground fashion.

The atmosphere for this show was unlike any other show we have seen this past week. There were black chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, candles lit all across the runway and violinists playing classical dark music in the background.

The Collection featured comfortable hoodies, cool leggings with designs, Kimono shirts and dresses, and hoodie dresses. The shirts and leggings all have cool grungy designs that will definitely be seen on all the pop queens and rocks stars in Hollywood.

What was so cool about this show is that we saw women; men and even children walk the runway. Their clothing could definitely be for a family affair. Kids wearing cute funky clothes are definitely a weakness of mine.
Overall this collection was amazing and we can’t wait to get our hands on some Life & Death gear for our daily activities.

Special thanks to Laurent Planeix for taking such great care of us.
