Gucci '07 Collection Unveiled

Old Hollywood glamour has found its place again in fashion. As Milan fashion week kicked into full gear, Gucci unveiled its Fall 07 collection with Hollywood in mind. Designer Frida Giannini must have drawn her influences from old Hollywood movies since her line displayed forties-influenced, floral-printed silk dresses, blouses, emphasized shoulders, short jackets, and knee length skirts with high waists which had glamour written all over it. All you animal lovers beware, because fur is back and Gucci’s loving it.

Get rid of the glam-rock disco gear because fall is all about vintage-inspired dresses. The line was all about femininity with the silhouettes, puffed shoulders, long sleeves, plunging neckline and the dropping back. The hot colors were black, red, grey and orange. The models all displayed wavy hair with minimal eye make up and scarlet lips. The highlight of the show was the black finale glamour gowns with Schiaparelli-esque sun-ray embroideries at the shoulder which will surely make its rounds around Hollywood’s starlets.
