Fashion For A Good Cause

It's fashion Thursday and this week we decided to introduce fashion for a good cause. New Orleans is one of our favorite cities in the states and we were obviously devastated with the catastrophe that took over the city a year ago. Therefore we want to help out as much as we can to help rebuild the city and it never hurts to add a little fashion to it.

One of our favorite t-shirt lines MATERIALUST is teaming up with one of our favorite department stores Saks Fifth Avenue to help rebuild The Big Easy.

The Materialust's unique collection of t-shirts features rare and exclusively licensed vintage artwork from various countries, cities, and unique destinations across the globe. With the vintage trend dominating Hollywood it is no surprise that celebrities such as Jeremy Piven, Eva Longoria, Adrian Grenier, Hilary Duff, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jessica Biel and Jessica Alba are big fans of this line.

The line to the stars is now supporting the victims of Hurricane Katrina by creating a series of Men’s shirts exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue in New Orleans. There is a series of eight shirts for fall that will retail for $65.00 each, with $5 profit from each sale going to the following charities: The New Orleans Museum of Art, Contemporary Arts Center Preservation Resource Center, The NOCCA Institute, and Tulane/LSU Cancer Research Consortium. All shirts have an authentic New Orleans motif. Materialust for Saks t-shirts will be available beginning November 1, 2006. For spring 2007, Materialust will create a series of shirts for additional Saks Fifth Avenue stores. Make sure to get your shirt to look good and help out all at once!
