Farrah Fawcett have kept quiet about her battle with anal cancer until now!
She gave an interview back in August, but didn't want Charles Ornstein, formerly of the LA Times publishing it until her documentary aired on NBC. Farrah's Story, a two-hour NBC documentary airs this Friday.
In the article, Farrah talks about her battle with the deadly disease and how she would have wanted more privacy while fighting for her life.
"It's much easier to go through something and deal with it without being under a microscope," says Fawcett. "It was stressful. I was terrified of getting the chemo. It's not pleasant. And the radiation is not pleasant."
If you guys recall, there were some tabloids that ran ridiculous and heart-breaking stories about Fawcett's condition. Well, Farrah has a few words for those magazines. Talking about the story that headlined, "Farrah Begs: 'Let Me Die,' she says "God, I would never say something like that. To think that people who did look up to me and felt positive because I was going through it too and yet I was strong … it just negated all that."
She also talked about how cancer has taken over her life because that is all people ever talk about. She says, "It becomes your life. People call, 'How are you?' 'How do you feel?' 'We're praying for you.' 'Do you still have your hair?' 'What do you feel like?' When every single call is that kind of call … it's all you talk about. It's all consuming. Then, your quality of life is never the same."
Fawcett went to Germany to receive alternative treatment and was also treated at UCLA.
