Alana Stewart to Pen Farrah Fawcett Diaries

Farrah Fawcett's best friend Alana Stewart has decided to publish the late actress’ diaries. She announced plans to publish the diary Farrah kept, which chronicles her battle with anal cancer.

The book, entitled My Journey With Farrah: A Story of Life, Love, and Friendship, is scheduled to hit bookstores on August 11th through HarperCollins.

Alana says of the book, "Farrah had originally encouraged me to write this book—it was her idea. My hope is that people will find this book to be a heartfelt tribute to my friend of 30 years and her valiant fight against cancer."

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the tome will go toward the Farrah Fawcett Foundation for cancer research. We think Farrah would have been very proud of this project.

She was willing to document her struggle with cancer for the greater good of educating people about it, and this goes along with that theme.
