Nothing like a hurricane to stir up emotions and get a couple kids hitched, right? (Sorry, I don’t know where that came from.)
Hurricane Sandy didn’t stop “True Blood” star Evan Rachel Wood from getting married, mostly because the ceremony took place over 3,000 miles away. The actress married Jamie Bell in a private setting on – oddly – Tuesday.
And, the reason that you think you’ve never heard of Jamie Bell is because frankly you haven’t. But rest assured – Rachel married a talented fellow who is also an actor that appeared in films like The Adventures of Tintin and – most recently – Man on a Ledge.
Their reps confirmed the news that Bell and Wood are now man and wife.
The couple got married in California. Rachel wore a lace mermaid gown by Carolina Herrera with “capped-sleeves and striped ribbon waist detail.” While it’s not confirmed, I’m guessing Bell wore a suit.
Their ceremony was intimate and private, hence why we’re just hearing about it now…
Bell asked Wood to marry him in the beginning of this year. Their story starts in 2005 as costars in the music video for Green Days’ “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” They hit it off so well, apparently, that they felt the need to get matching tattoos in 2006, but not well enough to keep them from breaking up a year later.
Lucky for them the permanent ink was still relevant when they decided to get back together in 2011.
This was Rachel’s second engagement, but first marriage. She was engaged to Marilyn Mansion in 2010, but decided not to go through with it. We can only assume that her parents were relieved with that one.
Congrats to the lovebirds!
