Evan Rachel Wood Denies Mickey Rourke Romance

Evan Rachel Wood wants a little respect, people! Just because she’s been spotted sucking face with leatherface Mickey Rourke on more than one occasion, she denies there’s anything going on there. Well cheers to that!

Despite her claims though, Mickey and Evan definitely have made some sort of connection since filming The Wrestler, be it romantic or not. “Friends” just don’t suck on each other’s necks. Sorry.

But Evan put out a statement to Rolling Stone today asking them to clear up the sick rumor. Via RS, she says, "I’m upset because I feel disrespected by the press and by Mr. Rourke. Just because I’m single doesn’t mean that you can take advantage of me.

"It’s unfair that the performances might suffer because of all of these distractions. I'm not attracted to him, he's too old for me. Nothing ever happened and nothing ever will."

Poor Mickey! Evan didn’t have to go dogging his looks while she was at it! But we’re breathing a sigh of relief over here that they’re not an item.

We were thinking someone was going to need to stage an intervention with Evan to teach her the ways of dating a suitable man. Marylin Manson straight to Mickey Rourke is not a good track record!
