Despite coach Greg Popovich’s expectedly PC response to Tony having a sexting affair with Erin Barry, we hear he’s not happyat all. And either are his teammates.
"The core guys are super pissed about it all,” a source told E! Online.
Not to mention the fact that the Spurs aren’t the type of team to get involved in this kind of drama—they’re more of a family team. Take a look at Tim Duncan, the team’s captain, who is happily married to his wife Amy.
Behind closed doors, I hear Popvich is pissed Tony would spoil the team’s image by doing something so stupid. He even wants him off the team. "The Spurs staff is very upset and Pop [Greg Popovich] would trade him if he didn't just sign that big deal," the source says.
That “big” deal is a whopping $50 million extension and 4 more years with the Spurs.
Earlier this month, Popovich said at a press conference, “He’s a character guy. And I just don’t know what else to say about him and it’s reflected in the extension that we gave him. That’s how we feel about him.”
Talk about eating your words.
At this point the team has no choice but to completely pretend this never happened, kind of like what Brett Favre decided to do after texts and pictures of his junk leaked online.
Tony Parker cheating on Eva Longoria shouldn’t come as a big surprise, since so many of them do it every day and get away with it. The only reason anyone really cares about this particular instance is because Eva Longoria is involved.
Tony is lucky he got that huge extension. But he can kiss $25 million of it goodbye immediately, plus half of whatever he’s got lying around that French bank of his.
