Newlywed Eva Longoria promises to put motherhood on the back burner because she doesn't want to leave 'Desperate Housewives.'
Longoria, who married NBA star Tony Parker on 07-07-07, said she is determined to put her career first and concentrate on the TV show that turned her into a household name.
She says, "Tony wants children and so do I, but I'm also involved in a very successful series, which has been the greatest break in my career and I have to be respectful of that.
"This is our fourth series now, and we're looking at several more years hopefully, so having a baby is a huge decision. We're going to wait and think a while before we make that step."
Hollywood marriages have a shelf like of about 2 years so maybe they should wait and see if they make it as a couple before they can make it as parents.
