Inside Eva Longoria's Engagement

As we reported last week, Eva Longoria recently got engaged to basket ball star Tony Parker. In a recent interview with People magazine the "Desperate" star revealed how the proposal was a ”big surprise". So how did Tony propose to this hot Latina? Eva explains, "I was heading home from a long day on the (Desperate Housewives) set. He had been playing in Utah, so I was just shocked to see him in L.A. I thought it was so weird, sort of, 'Why are you here? What's going on? Oh my God! It's happening!""

Tony had prepped Longoria’s home with rose petals and candles. Parker revealing that he is a traditional guy had already told both parents about the upcoming proposal. Tony fell on his Knees and popped the question. "I cried my eyes out," says Longoria. "I was mostly touched by how nervous he was. I was like, 'You know I'm going to say yes. Why are you so nervous?' But I guess every man gets nervous at that point." However, Parker revealed that actually wasn’t nervous at all, "I knew it was right. We've been talking for months about it, and I just knew. It was time." Soon after the proposal the couple celebrated with close friends who gathered at Longoria's L.A. home.

The 5 carat plus emerald cut diamond ring was designed by Jean Dousset, a friend of the couple. It boasts an impressive 247 accenting diamonds. Soon after the proposal Eva told her Wisteria Lane neighbors which she says was very exciting. Originally Tony was set to propose in France but the timing wasn’t right. Congrats to the couple and we wish them the best! Wonder when the wedding will be and who she’ll wear.
