Last month, Nicollette Sheridan and Marc Cherry went to court because Sheridan claimed that Cherry assaulted her and then killed off her character on “Desperate Housewives”, which she called “wrongful termination.”
Anyways, the actual “Desperate Housewives” actresses haven’t spoken up much about the trial, but finally Eva Longoria has broken her silence!
“I was surprised that there was even a trial and it went that far,” Longoria told Katie Couric on Good Morning America, “I love Nicollette and I love Marc Cherry, and I love our work environment. It’s a stain on our legacy as a hit show. It was just unfortunate, the whole thing.”
“Desperate Housewives” is coming to an end after 8 seasons, but what a way to remember the show. Hey, isn’t that the show where the guy beat that chick and then killed her off? Yeah, Eva Longoria’s show, right?
Longoria said she never expected the show to end in a highly publicized trial, she also never thought she’d be divorced at the end of the series either, after splitting from husband Tony Parker in November 200.
“It’s interesting, because I’m in a big transition in my life. I am not married. I always thought I would be married at the end of Housewives. The show is ending…A lot of chapters are closing in my life, and so I’m at a point where I get to redefine who I am.”
Eva started dating Penelope Cruz’s brother Eduardo Cruz after her divorce, the broke up last month, but now they seem to be hooking up again. However, Longoria wont say anything about it.
“Now I’m a lot more private. You don’t need to know who I’m dating. You don’t need to know what I’m doing. I’m fine with everybody not knowing that.”
