It’s been nearly half a year since her divorce from Tony Parker, but Eva Longoria has emerged from the stress of divorce with a big smile and some serious cooking skills.
We talked to Eva about her new book, Eva’s Kitchen, which she describes as “really inspirational.”
“I always say I’m a cook, not a chef,” Eva told Hollyscoop. “If I can do it, you can do it. Anyone can cook, it’s a really accessible book and sometimes people can be intimidated by cooking and wearing color and cutting their hair so this is an ode those women who take the chance and jump right in and take the leap of faith.”
The book is more focused around simple, family recipes. It’s what Eva calls “an ode to family and friends”.
Eva told us, “I grew up with a big family and cooking and cooking always centers around family events and Easter and holidays and things. There’s a lot of recipes that have evolved throughout the years.”
In fact, speaking of family, Eva included a recipe from her sister in the book.
“My sister Lisa, she has special needs and she heard I was doing a cookbook so she said, ‘Can I put a recipe in?’ so she put [a recipe] one in there which is really sweet. She wanted to be a part of it.”
Longoria says her most famous recipe in the book is one for tortilla soup…and my stomach is already growling.
Longoria’s LA restaurant, Beso, is a celebrity hot spot that’s had tremendous success. She might not consider herself a chef, but she knows good food.
