That was short lived!
Eminem has reportedly ended his feud with
Nick Cannon and
Mariah Carey and insists that he only wishes the couple "the best."
"With the song, I kind of spazzed out on that record, but I guess I spazzed out on every record," Eminem said in an interview with BBC Radio on Saturday.
"There's a line on there that was a little harsh. It's a harsh line... But it's like this, the way I look at it. I had no idea he was going to take it like he took it. I had no idea Nick Cannon was going to start wildin' out on me."
The whole feud started when Eminem included lyrics like "I want another crack at ya," "Nick Cannon better back...up. I'm not playing, I want her back, you punk" and "Nick Cannon, you pr---, I wish you luck with that f---in' whore," in his new song
Bagpipes From Baghdad.
Nick then retaliated by posting a blog slamming Eminem and calling him "Slim Lamey." But Eminem insists the lyrics were just a joke and they were blown way out of proportion.
"I heard about some of the things he was saying," Eminem said. "I didn't read his blog or anything. But it is what it is. He's supposed to defend his wife, and I expected him to do that. But at the end of the day, it's a line I said. It's a song.
"What I actually meant to say is, I wish them the best. That's what I meant to say. That's the whole message of the record."
We never thought we'd see the day when Eminem would actually try and settle a feud instead of adding fire to it. Looks like he really has come a long way!
