If you find yourself stewing over your favorite movie of 2012 not being nominated for Achievement in Directing (see: Les Mis, Argo, and Django Unchained), here’s a little pick-me-up:
Elton John is a father again! Well, maybe…
According to a new report relayed by correspondent Richard Johnson of the New York Post, the British hitmaker and his partner, David Furnish, have welcomed their second child together.
Little is known about the reported birth yet, but according to the story the baby arrived via the same surrogate used to carry the couple’s son, Zachary.
The California–based woman’s name is being kept off the record due to privacy concerns, but apparently she is some sort of “Surrogate to the Stars,” as she’s said to be the same woman who carried Camille Grammer’s kids.
The singer-songwriter’s camp refused to comment on the matter to NYP.
It was rumored that Sir Elton and Furnish were expecting baby number two as far back as November when the UK’s Sun predicted a 2013 due date for the unnamed surrogate.
“Elton and David love this lady like a sister and they feel indebted to her for life,” a source told the outlet at the time. “Naturally she has been well rewarded. But her identity will never be revealed.”
The couple’s first bundle of joy arrived on Christmas Day 2010.
Hollyscoop has reached out to Sir Elton’s rep for confirmation on the latest baby news. We are currently waiting on a response.
