Elton John to American Idol: No Thanks!

Elton John was reportedly one of the people that was offered to take over Simon Cowell's spot on American Idol and he apparently declined.

According to Access Hollywood, John was offered a whopping $33 million, and turned down the chance to be the new Simon Cowell.

Many names have been thrown out there as a possible replacement, but no official confirmation or announcement has been made. According to Entertainment Weekly, the producers have yet to officially sign someone on, but they are going to wait to announce the new judge at a later date.
