Ellen Pompeo is the latest actress rumored to be throwing in the towel. Grey's Anatomy has already said goodbye to four of their main cast members—Katherine Heigl, Kate Walsh, T.R. Knight, and Isaiah Washington—three of whom wanted to leave!
And now rumor has it Ellen is over the hit drama, and is planning her exit. But, typical Hollywood, she’s sugar coating it…for now. “I haven’t said I’m moving on,” she tells Extra. “I said that when my contract is up after season 8 [in two years], I would probably not renew. I think the world has had a lot of Meredith Grey.”
Yeah the show is only all about her character!! We find it funny that actors are so quick to leave television shows these days that made them household names. Look at the casts of Seinfeld and Friends. Those shows were on for years, and no one would dare leave!
It seems TV actors are always looking towards film nowadays. And it’s a trickle down effect—reality stars have begun thinking their above their own shows, and most (Snooki, Heidi Montag we mean you) think they’re actually talented enough for film.

According to Us Weekly, Ellen and her husband Chris Ivery welcomed Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery on September 15th! These women are good at keeping secrets!
News broke last yesterday that Sarah Michelle Gellar too gave birth to a girl, and hers came on Saturday. Last year Ellen did an interview with Allure magazine, admitting that having a child would be a big change to her and her husband’s lives.
She said, "It's a huge lifestyle change, and I take that very seriously. Chris and I] enjoy our life so much. We go to Europe and sleep in.
"So when I have the baby, I won't feel like we've missed any fun, reckless times together, like staying up all night drinking champagne and having sex until five in the morning and not having to get up until two in the afternoon."
Well she can kiss those days goodbye for a little while! Congrats to Ellen and Chris. Now she, Katherine Heigl, and Sarah Michelle Gellar need to get together with all their girls!

The couple, who are expecting baby #1, are usually ones to stay out of the pubic eye. But it seems this latest story found them!
According to Star magazine, Chris has been cheating on Ellen with a 19-year year old girl! The woman, a restaurant hostess named Rachel Artz, saying they began the affair in his hometown of Boston.
She tells the mag, "Yes, I had sexual relations with Chris. We were intimate several times."
Other sources tell Star that over the course of three months, Chris and Rachel hooked up several times — including at hotels in Boston and Miami, and a private residence in Martha's Vineyard — while Ellen was home in Los Angeles. One insider says, "Chris promised Rachel that he'd make her a star — that's his lure.”
"Chris often took calls from Ellen in front of Rachel and talked about their baby-to-be." However, the source says, “He didn't seem to like Ellen much when he talked about her. He made her seem like a diva."
This is so sad! We really hope that this isn’t true, especially given the timing! Ellen has been all smiles lately, so if there was trouble in paradise, we doubt she'd look so happy. A rep for Ellen has denied all details of an affair, but we’ll have to wait for a statement from Ivery’s rep.

Ellen and Chris were married by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a super low-key ceremony back in November 2007.
She was recently spotted shopping for baby clothes, which sparked a ton of pregnancy rumors.
"It's great news," her rep Jennifer Allen tells People magazine. "They're ecstatic."

On catching the acting bug as a child while watching the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall:
“Afterward, I stood up and said, ‘That’s what I want to be. They’re alive. That’s what I want to do.’ … [But] I was very sad and introverted as a child, and I would never, ever have had the confidence or the extroverted nature to be in a school play.”

“When I did the pilot, I thought, ‘I can’t stand medical shows. This will never get on.’”
